Onion Bhaji Slimming World SYN FREE | RECIPE OF THE MONTH

RECIPE OF THE MONTH

Onion Bhaji Recipe Slimming World

This month my recipe of the month is another slimming world recipe which is syn free. They taste really good.

Ingredients

1 Cal fry light spray
1 Red onion, halfed then sliced
1 White onion, sliced
1 Sweet potato, grated
1tbsp Curry powder
1 Beaten egg

Pre-heat oven to 200c and spray the 1 can spray onto a baking tray.

Fry the onions in a frying pan with the 1 cal spray until they go slightly brown.

Once the onion is browned off add them to a bowl with the sweet potato and egg. Combine together.

Add the curry paste and mix together.

Make six small balls onto the baking tray and then spray the 1 cal spray on top on the bhaji’s.

Bake in the oven for about 15-20 mins, until they go brown or slightly burnt looking.

Serve with salad, yogurt and mint sauce.

I would rate this month’s recipe of the month 9 out of 10 as they taste so good.

Let me know if you give them a try.

A Week Off With My Boy

A week off with my boy

Back to work today after a whole week off. How I miss my boy already and wished I could be home with him today.

We enjoyed every little moment together. We had such lovely weather most of the week but it was almost too hot so we had to stay inside a lot of the time.

Monday we went tp soft play and got to meet Spiderman. We both had Mr Whippy ice creams after this and Sonny made a lot of mess, but I didn’t care as he was enjoying it so much.

Tuesday we visited a local park which had inflatables out for the day so we met my sister and her kids and sat and had a picnic while they played and had fun. We then went home and played water play in the garden.

Wednesday was a morning at nursery for Sonny so when he got home he had a long sleep then we went outside and played water play in the garden again.

Thursday was a whole day at nursery for Sonny! The mum guilt I felt for sending him even though I had the week off. The reason I sent him was because I had a lot to get done round the house and it’s so much easier and quicker without Sonny around. I felt better for getting all the jobs done round the house. When I picked Sonny up at 4.30pm we popped to the park and went for a walk and a play on the swings.

Friday the weather turned which was a shame as we had plans to go to a musical picnic. We went along to the local library rhyme time instead which I thought Sonny would really enjoy but he didn’t show any interest and just wanted to play on the train they have there instead. We went home and he slept for 3 hours. When he woke up we popped to my mums and Sonny plans with his cousins while I caught up with my mum.

We had such a lovely week together, really makes me wish I was a stay at home Mummy.

Here are some photos of our week.

Don’t forget you can see my photos also on Instagram so come follow me to keep up to date @Bexmorts.

Practicing Photography

I am trying to learn more and get better at my photography. I feel this would help my blog grow and it will be great to have some lovely family and Sonny photos without having to pay to go and see professional photographers.
I started a course online for beginner photography. I made it through two webinars and then just got too busy to log in again to watch anymore. I luckily managed to get the course for free so I have not wasted any money. Maybe if I was paying for the course I would had made more of an effort.
I am hoping I can find some useful YouTube videos on photography.
I bought a second hand camera off someone from work its a Sony A33 it looks very complicated but I am sure I will get to know the camera when I start to use it a lot more.
I finally got round to trying it out this week as I have a week off work. I have attached the photos to this blog as I was pretty impressed with how the photos come out. Hopefully this isn't a one off and I can get nice photos like this in the future.
I plan to go out walking somewhere nice maybe a national trust location and practice some more with the new camera and hopefully get many more nice snaps.

Our Weekend 6th August 2016

Our Weekend

I spent the whole of last weekend getting things done around the house, the boring jobs like hovering the car out , cutting the grass and all that kind of stuff. The weekend went by so quickly and we didn’t spend time having fun with baby Sonny.
So that’s why this weekend we planned to have a fun weekend.
Saying this Saturday morning Sonny slept for most of the morning and while he was doing that me and Darren organised the living room to make it more Sonny friendly. I can actually put a cup of tea down now without him being able to grab it.
After Sonny’s nap and after lunch we then headed out. We decided to go visit Darren’s dad, he was fishing up Cuckoos Rest. It turned out to be such a beautiful day and we managed to get some really nice photos while we were up there. As the weather was so nice we stayed up there all afternoon soaking up the sun, while Sonny just enjoyed being outside with his grandparents.
When we got home we were feeling pretty tired so treated ourselves to a naughty Chinese takeaway and Pimms. Not very Slimming World friendly.

Then on Sunday the same thing happened and Sonny slept all morning. This helps me to get chores done round the house and we also managed to do some wedding planning and get an email sent out to our wedding planners in Cyprus.
After Sonny’s nap and lunch we then headed out. We decided to go to a local garden centre as they had a food market on for the weekend. As it happened the food market was rubbish and not much to look at. I still managed to spend a few pounds in the garden centre and also got myself a new pair of wellies also.
This garden centre is so good for kids Sonny played on the tractors and the swings. We did however decide to avoid the sandpit as I just hovered the car out haha. He also enjoyed looking at the animals such as rabbits, hens and fish. It was a lovely afternoon out and it didn’t cost us much neither.
On the way home I ran into Aldi as it was just about to close, picked up some bits for a roast dinner then we went home and chilled and all had dinner. Sonny had a bath then bed.

It was such a lovely weekend spent together as a family. This is why I wanted to share it on my blog along with some of the lovely photos I took.
